Planting the Lakanal Memorial Orchard 2009

Community Project
23rd August 2009

The event was facilitated by artists Orly Orbach and Jess Thom, who encouraged children and adults to write dedications on signs placed around the young trees. They were helped in this by gardeners from Urban Orchard, supported by Southwark Council staff ... More »

Goin' Home - Southwark Walks 2010

Two Evenings of Music: A Gala Fundraiser for the South London Gallery

A-Z [coming soon]

A 26-part video series for online consumption via random release dates
A '9 minus 1' production

'9 minus 1' is founded by Paula Crickard and Christian Smith to facilitate their multi platform projects. 'A-Z' brings a group of 4 unusual antiheros together under the leadership of Sister Pettipants who has been chosen by Tudo Bem (a Bicho-preguiça and all powerful spiritual being incarnate) to lead a small attack against greed in the 21st century. Over a course of 26 short episodes, the adventures of Sister Pettipants, Sudice Seduca, Sandar Van Dar Manstar and Orla McGarvey are told in a series of anecdotes set in various locations throughout Europe. A high camp, low brow montage in the style of Mr. John Waters and Senore Pedro Almodovar (so be our aspirations in this most tasteful homage to these heroes of humour).
